Hong Kong Great November Feast presents wider culinary selection to help industry promotion and encourage local consumption
Expect a bigger Hong Kong Great November Feast this year with mouth-watering, limited-time tasting menus and offers galore! Organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), the annual epicurean affair will feature a wider variety of dining establishments located all over the city, ranging from street food joints to trendy eateries and Michelin-starred restaurants. While providing a promotional platform for the dining industry, the campaign is hoped to engage the locals and encourage local consumption. HKTB Chairman Dr YK Pang said: The HKTB would like to thank all participating merchants and dining establishments for supporting Hong Kong Great November Feast. The dining industry plays an important role in Hong Kong tourism. Under the recent social circumstances, I believe our partners from the dining industry are looking for opportunities to promote their businesses. We are therefore stepping up promotion of Hong Kong Great November Feast this year to the locals. Besides inviting restaurants to offer special menus and discounts, we are promoting popular local eateries and wine merchants from the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival. We hope this will encourage more Hong Kong people to dine out and help boost local spending. This years Hong Kong Great November Feast is supported by about 600 restaurants and wine merchants across the city. Together with different themed activities, they will provide an exceptional month-long gourmet experience. Highlights include: 1Exclusive menus and offers at notable restaurantsAround 30 fine-dining restaurants serving different cuisines, including Chinese, Western and Japanese, have developed exclusive tasting menus themed on one of five luxurious ingredients: truffle, oyster, sea urchin, lobster and steak. Among these top-notch restaurants are three-star Michelin French restaurant Caprice, three-star Michelin Chinese restaurant Tang Court and Australian celebrity chef Shane Osborns one-star Michelin restaurant Arcane. Around 120 hip set-ups including Little Bao, Van Gogh SENSES and Gradini are offering up to 30% discounts.
These restaurants are promoted under FeedMe Guru –A Gourmet Celebration and reservations can be made via the FeedMe Guru website or mobile application. Around 30 Italian restaurants including Castellana, Grissini, and Tosca are using top-quality products flown in from different regions of Italy to concoct hearty regional dishes. Diners can also take part in Week of Italian Cuisine in the World – Bite & Fly Dining Contest for the chance to win a trip to Italy. 2Special offers on local must-eats The public can purchase Flavors of Hong Kong vouchers at discount prices on the website or mobile application of Klook to enjoy five Hong Kong must-eats – dim sum, siu mei, noodles, street food and hotpot – at over 30 eateries in various districts. Some of these eateries rarely offer discounts. The offers include: 15% offselected set at Michelin Guide-recommended street food Mammy Pancake, and 12% off selected set meals at Ser Wong Fun. 3Themed events on both sides of the harbour Hong Kong Great November Feast features a flavourful array of themed events, including the annual HKTDC Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Lan Kwai Fong Cuisine Celebration, the French Beef Festival and the Food Fest 2019, promising to satisfy different taste buds. 4Wine by Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival exhibitors It will be the first time for Hong Kong Great November Feast to feature the Hot Deals on the Grapevine online shop, which will serve as a platform for Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival exhibitors to promote their wine products and for the public to buy wine at great prices. The HKTB is collaborating with the HKTDC to provide Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival exhibitors with booth discounts at the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair. Organised annually in November, Hong Kong Great November Feast is one of the HKTBs main platforms for promoting Hong Kongs world-class, diverse dining scene.
